Review | Lebanese Mix

Review | Lebanese Mix

Camberwell and south-east London is on the rise with pop-up trendy hipster places. Like the bussey building, Franks bar with an amazing view of the city and The bar story. Bringing the night life a new meaning to the south of the river. Alot of new food places have opened as well which has given us more variety on the type of food to try out. If you're looking for a place which is halal, and the food is to die for, look no further than the Lebanese Mix.

The Mix grill
A friend and I tend to go for the grills and fresh juices when we come here, the staff are really friendly and always offer you a sweet free dessert afterwards. I think its called baklava although I always tend to mispronounce it as balaclava.

The lamb grill <3
I mean look at this, who wouldn't want to give this a try. I'm salivating right now thinking about returning here.

Travels | Barcelona

~ Travels | Barcelona ~

Beautiful beaches, churches and baguettes. So the family and I went on a little trip to Barcelona to celebrate my brother's masters graduation. Apart from having the opportunity to practice my Spanish, over the 4 days we admired the beautiful city and most importantly, we ate a lots and it was goooooood.

They really love their food in Spain, it's home to gigantic Jamon, seafood and sangria. Everything was flourishing, and you can tell that the people really enjoy the laid back and relaxing life style we crave.

Review | Eat Tokyo

Review | Eat Tokyo

Sashimi Boats, Intricately designed sushi rolls and insanely cheap bowls of muscles. I LOVE this restaurant, its pretty much the number one place I go to when I'm taking my friends around London. For sushi is a pretty good deal considering how much Japanese food tends to cost so its a win win situation.

Look at this beautiful Sashimi Boat

Definitely recommend the salmon teriyaki

For 2 people; I'd recommend a bento box (to fill you up and you can try out the different elements) and 2 Sushi dishes.
For more than 4 people; I'd just recommend ordering alot of different types of sushi and splitting the cost.

Specials to try
The Hyper Roll
Salmon Teriyaki Bento
King Prawn Roll
Anything with Eel in it

Rice tends to be really filling so it might not look like much but it'll sure fill you to your core.

The waiters and waitress thank you really gratefully when you're leaving, but the general costumer service isn't the greatest. But the food detracts you away from all of this.

Review | Tagine Zhor

Review | Tagine Zhor

If you're get the chance to visit the beautifully cultured Bath, definitely check out the wonderful spas, Roman baths,  and the classic Sally Lunns for afternoon tea. But apart from the obvious, if you love flavourful Moroccan food check out Tagine Zhor, near the central square around the Abbey.

These were just the starters and they were very well worth the price.

Recipes | Meatballs with Peanut Sauce

Meatballs with Peanut Sauce

A healthy alternative to beef meat balls with a modern Thai twist.

Ingredients
Lean Turkey - 500 gm (less than 7% fat)
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
4 tbsp garlic and ginger mashed
1/4 cup of fish sauce
1/4 cup of coconut oil
1 red chilli (de-seeded) finely chopped
2 tbsp of crunchy peanut butter
half a tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 coconut cream
1 tsp chopped basil

Step 1: Mix the turkey mince, ginger , fish sauce, coriander and half of the garlic together.  This should form a thick batter.  Add pinch of salt and pepper to flavour.

Step 2: Heat up a pan to a medium heat and add oil. Whilst the pan is warming up, roll out small balls from the mixture.

Step 3: Shallow fry the balls, flipping them around as they cook until they reach a golden brown colour.

Step 4: Cook remaining ingredients except for the basil (Coconut oil, Chilli, crunchy peanut butter, Brown sugar, coconut cream) on a medium heat. Then stir in chopped basil for completion.

Good Luck and comment below and send us through any photos for your attempts.
